Because a big passion of mine is in aviation, I started developing a small application to assist me when planning new flights.
Flight Planner
The core of the application is of course the flight planner. Its a tabular window where course and distance measured from the map can be entered. The tool then calculates wind correction and time for each leg. This is a very simple planning approach but sufficient when starting out in aviation. The development version extends this with GPS coordinates and a visual representation of the route with my Map Engine.
Logbook
The logbook module is currently the most complete part of my application. It allows the user to enter his logbook entries with loads of different attributes. The layout is based on a Jeppesen logbook I have.
Because a logbook is a collection of a lot of data, there are also statistics.
